Mansfield is only 15 miles north of Nottingham not far off the M1 so it's on the way for anyone travelling from the North. Hopefully someone will offer to pick him up. We would but we are travelling Friday night to start setting up.

Dazza - nice one thanks. Jump_shot - Always difficult to say. 62 runners at the last one. I'm hoping this will be even more because it's closer to london and the midlands and also Darkside promotions has arranged a special event for the Saturday night! Also let's not forget this club are recovering two thirds of their tables especially for this event so playing conditions should be really good especially in later rounds where we can concentrate play on the 12 newly covered tables. It's a nice city centre too. Rankings are still worth chasing too, especially if you want to join the pro section of GB9BT because we will be using these as a guide (amongst other factors of course) in choosing whose application for the first season pro section are accepted. There are not many BPPPA main tour events left before the rankings are finalised so now's a good time to get yourself up the list. All in all it's a good chance for everyone to support us in the the transition from the existing tour to the new one. So I really think it will be a good event this time and am looking forward to it. There is a long answer but I'll give you the quick one... Apply for whichever section you want in season 1 then the tour committe will make the final decision as to whether you are allowed to play in the section you apply for. In season 2 it will be easier as it will be based on rankings.
...and no Darren and a few others would not be allowed in the Challenge Division in season 1 even if they were daft enough to apply for it.
