Darkside What entry fee would you be wanting to pay m8,if i do this would be looking at at least £500 to the winner to cover entry and flight. What your thoughts on this.

So where do the US open spots come from or can anyone just turn up and enter the main event? [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2007-08-09 11:18 ]

Yep, it's completely open although there is a cut off for date entries, and it's cheaper to enter early.

Great idea - Darkside is on the money. this would have to be VERY top heavy on prize money. ie: most of the prize money to the winner - £750 minimum! you have to think of Flight, entry fee, accomodation, transfers...
id probably do £40-£50 entry and advertise it as a winner takes all unless prize money is greater than say..... £800 or so...
hope this makes sense - Reckon you would get at least 32 runners at £40 a go which is £1280 in prizemoney - if that was the case i would (as the organiser) arrange the accomodation and flight for the winner as part of the prize - this way the winner would be comitted to playing in the US open rather than doing a runner with the £1000 etc...
dunno - just my thoughts. Defo get 32 runners tho - its the US open for gods sake!! lol
