So we sold £260 worth of tickets today - add that to the massive £1,171 that carried over from the last event (hereinafter to be refered to as "The RACKGATE SCANDAL" because of the allegations of poor rackiing by myself - I blame the hot weather personally) giving a grand total of... Drumroll.... £1,431 - or over £140 per ball!!!We're doing the draw in 5 minutes from now - stay tuned! ----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2017-08-05 23:42 ]

Well that was fun!
We've finally broken our spell of dry breaks after 6 in a row.
Our first contestant broke and potted a ball, earning himself 10% of the prize fund... £143 for potting one ball. Jamie could see the 1 ball but the nearest pocket was obscured by the nine ball and it would have been pretty unlikely to get any further so he took the money and headed off to the bar as he handed the reigns over to contestant number two!
Our second contestant, Ricky Hatherley, broke dry.
Our third contestant, Mark "Cyclone" Collins, had a lot of vocal support from the crowd packed into the atmospheric room hosting the GB9 livestream.
Mark broke, potted a ball, and despite being able to see the long, angled 1-ball, took the £129 to the disbelief of Ralf Souquet and many other who attended, but understandable to those who say better safe than sorry, as that buys a lot of beer at the bar.
Congratulations to our contestants, thanks for playing, I hope you enjoyed yourselves and don't forget if you didn't win, there's good news for you too, as there is still £1,159 in the pot to roll over to the next event.

Here's the video of the draw, with Jayson Shaw's delightful daughter, Leanna, aged 2 and 3/4, picking out the three winning tickets, and dutifully NOT picking out her Dad's numbers! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0eowOXdpvQAhhh, bless!

Update: Apparently Jamie spent all his winnings in the bar in record quick time that night buying rounds for himself and his mates... Good man!
