OK, so here are the vital statistics from the 15-Ball Rotation style competition that we ran at the GB9 Southern Masters.

The pot exceeded my wildest hopes as there were 236 entries, so a prize fund of £236, half of which will roll over to the final event of the season in November where we will play this competition again. The highest score from either of the two events will be awarded the roll-over prize.

In the end, there were FOUR people who tied for first place, the scores were as follows...

15 Arfan Dad (broke dry on second rack)
15 Michael Brisley (broke, made a ball, but scratched on second rack)
15 Shaun Storry (broke dry on second rack)
15 Chris Hall (broke dry on second rack)

11 Mark Parker
11 Ash Naithwani

10 Del Sim

7 Matthew Christopher
7 Chris Cowie

6 Dave Simmonds

5 Neil Margossian
5 Phil Wildman
5 Paul Taylor
5 Dean Thompson

4 Andy Warden
4 Tony Burton
4 Tom Stavely
4 Bradley H. Parker

3 Lionel Brown
3 Michael Rhodes
3 Kris Kovacs

2 Mark Hughes
2 Simon Gardner
2 Aslam Abubaker
2 Craig Osborne
2 Damian Massey
2 Martin Royce
2 Bruno Muratore

1 Robin Cripps
1 Chris Fraser
1 Colin Connor
1 Michael Rhodes
1 Phil Burford
1 Mark Lunn

0 Dave Knight
0 Ste Williams

As explained above, the four winners split half the pot 4 ways, so £29.50 each. (See below for the potential Grand Champion pot at the next event).

I hope you enjoyed playing as much as I enjoyed running this - there were certainly some funny stories... Two of the top scores were achieved in completely contrasting ways. .. Chris Hall paid for one single attempt and knocked in his 15 balls in record time, whilst Shaun Storey had multiple attempts, almost always making a ball on the break, but rarely having the opportunity to make a ball after that.

Phil Burford paid for a total of 15 goes and by some freak anomaly he had 14 dry breaks.

I know some people wanted to join in, but didn't have much time to play because they were in the main event in the tournament room, but thanks VERY much to everyone who had a crack - I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.

You've got plenty of time to practice this now, and I'll see you all at Daventry again in November when I hope you will all be trying to beat your previous scores.

Finally, if you enjoyed this weekend and appreciate the effort we're making to give you a fun event, I would be very grateful if you would please recommend The Pro Shop to all your friends when you get home!

Thanks again, and I hope you all have a great summer!

POSSIBLE £354 ROLLOVER FOR GRAND CHAMPION

At the next event, if we get another £236 in entry fees and we get a single winner with a score over 15 balls, the Grand Champion will receive a whopping £354.00!!!

Who knows, it could be even more!

Sorry, I slept all day on Monday... ALL DAY!!! Not sure why, but it was great!

Today I've been catching up with online shop orders from the weekend which always takes priority... I'll have a lovely list for you later today.

In the meantime, if the above named players (the ones in bold) want to send me a PM with your Paypal email address... I've got something for you - I just need to double check the amount, but I think it's as stated above!

:D

Here's Event 5's list of scores and the prize money break-down...

18 Karl Boyes - Event 2 Winner and Grand Champion

17 Shaun Storrey
17 Imran Majid

15 Paul Taylor
15 Mark Parker
15 Phil Burford

10 Will Robertson

7 Simon Gardner
7 Dominic Clemmens

5 Robin Cripps

3 Jimmy Mole
3 Andy Warden

2 Matthew Christopher
2 Darian George
2 Paul Talbot

1 Aslam Abubaker
1 Mike Stanley
1 Dean Thompson

0 Ivica Putnik
0 Tony Weafer

Prize Fund for Stage One was £236
Prize Fund for Stage Two was £115

Half of each prize fund goes to the Grand Champion from the two events, and the other half goes to the highest scorer from each event, so the money is split like this.

Event 1 Highest Scorers
£118 divided by the four of them...

£29.50 Arfan Dad     - PAID
£29.50 Michael Brisley    - PAID
£29.50 Shaun Storry     - PAID
£29.50 Chris Hall         - PAID

Event 2 Highest Scorer and Overall Grand Champion
Receives £118 from Event 1 and £115 from Event 2...

£233.00 Karl Boyes - PAID

Just for complete disclosure... Karl knocked in the 18 score, after investing £5 in entries, and when Imran followed up by knocking in a 15 with his first attempt, Karl agreed to split the money with him before Imran broke the second rack - Imran agreed. (He only made 2 more balls before becoming unstuck - hence his 17 score.)

I hope you all enjoyed the featured games on "The Pro Shop" table this season, and I hope to see you all, and a bunch of new faces in the 2015 season.

Everyone is now PAID!

Congratulations!

Who's got the stats from the Calcutta? (Or shouldn't we post that here?) Incidentally, we have the ability to have a private forum that doesn't appear on the front page and can only be accessed by those who have the password - anyone interested in that?
