It seems that the possibility of disgraced snooker pro Stepen Lee turning his hand to pool just will not happen. The WPA are members of the WCBS (World Confederation of Billiards Sports). The members of the Carom, Snooker and Pool Federation have agreed to support each other's disciplinary decision. So he will not be picking up a cue for some time [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2013-09-30 15:11 ]

Seems very harsh to kill someones career like that without irrefutable evidence. OK maybe the balance of probability is against him but we are talking about someone's whole career here so surely the evidence has to be more clear cut. I mean an athlete gets less for a drugs ban when there is scientific evidence. I'm not condoning it but I just don't see how they can get away with dishing out such a lengthy ban without hard evidence. An appeal will surely follow.

Plenty of events around that are not WPA events, for example, the English pool World Rules events, Charlie Williams events, etc, etc, etc.

Would any tournament director be interested in signing up someone with a match-fixing judgement and ban against their name - surely it wouldn't exactly attract bookmakers and sponsors either?

There is a queue of sponsors and bookmakers waiting to get into pool?
