Just a quick reply because I am heading out in a little while but the issue with my request for free practice at my local club never went down like that at all. I expressed interest through a letter explaining that I had aspirations to compete on the GB9 Ball Tour and that any help would be greatly appreciated. There was confusion there that was beyond my control and the two people involved made negative assumptions before asking for my side of the story. I sent e-mails to the local club in question (John Beck) explaining what had gone on including attached e-mails between me and the other man in question (Tony Southern). That people make negative assumptions of me all of the time is why I want out of this competition because I have more pressing issues in my life right now that have to come first. I do wish you well in running the competition but its not for me now I'm afraid. Its good to hear that you are in the process of sending a refund. I won't bother with any of the haters on here anymore and if Tony still has a problem with me I can settle it with a match on the table if he wants? I won't be going to Rileys Wavertree anymore so John has nothing to worry about.

my god can we put an age limit on this site, if you can't act like you are older than 18 don't post
I have never in my live seen such juvenile nonsense, and before you ask to settle it in a match, I suggest you check the current GB rankings and compare it with the results at the GB 9 qualifiers.
And yes i can spot the irony in my above post !!

BigTone can you clarify the position with Rileys Glasgow (Ledard road) please?
They don't seem to know anything about GB9 leagues although you said they were taking part.
I replied to your PM but haven't heard anything back yet. I was really up for it too!
Cheers

I hold my hands up and say that I did lose 4/4 at my qualifier Tony. I'm not ashamed of that! I lost 3 - 8 to one of the best players involved and was unlucky not to be 5 - 6 or even 6 - 5 when that match ended in my first ever competitive 9-Ball match. I lost my second match hill-hill to a fluked 6-Ball after laying an excellent safety so that was utter bad luck. In my third match I was 5 - 0 ahead having not missed a ball and missed a combination I should have made. My opponent played fabulous pool to claw back the match and ended up winning 8 - 6 after I got a massive kick on the 7-Ball at 6 - 7. I knew I was out at this point and had no heart in the final match which I lost 3 - 8 and it felt like more of a friendly than anything. In the 19 frames I won I counted 11 games that I won in one visit at the table so I know I can play the game with practice and time. I've looked at your rank on GB9 in amazement for a good few months in fairness Tony. Its not something that scares me mind. In fact, I find it encouraging that a player that was unable to win a game from the break in 143 competitive games across 6 events is ranked so highly. We all play the game and the ultimate goal is to raise our break/finish rate and this in turn allows us to compete with the better players. Normally as a reserve list player I wouldn't pick a game with a stronger ranked player but in your case I'm very confident of delivering because I've seen your 8-Ball and a short clip of your 9-Ball and coupled with those stats I know that I just need to bring my break/finish game and play solid safety (my strength) and you cannot win without a lot of luck. So if you want to hold events from the past against me and keep twisting things that I say and snitching to people then it has to be sorted. My Snooker cue is currently with John Parris for a Phenolic Ferrule upgrade and I suggest that we set a date for maybe on the road to GB9 Event 2, but at the earliest April 2010. How do you like them apples? [ This message was edited by: The_Muse on 2010-02-16 15:22 ]

I sent Mr. Southern an e-mail and it will be interesting to hear what he has to say to some of the questions I have for him. When I have the energy and focus to say all that I think needs to be said I will be sending letters out to the following: Tony Weafer, John Beck, Tony Southern and Pro9 Forums.

Laughable. Just laughable. Your e-mail was sent, so yes you do have it. I don't play for money but I will face you at any variation of pool across a 6 x 3 or a 9 x 4.5 and will win. If it comes to that I want a long race but as I mentioned to you in the e-mail I would rather settle it as adults. We can do this through Q&A e-mails, through a sit down conversation or even a telephone call. [ This message was edited by: The_Muse on 2010-02-17 21:40 ]

Mr Muse i have not had an email from you, and i dont appreciate my email address being published in this forum by someone other than me (please edit your post or BDK please edit as Mod) i will not be replying to you when i do receive an email, i have no interest in playing you, and nothing to prove.
and I only play for money, enjoy the rest of your teenage years, and may one day you mature into an adult.
I won't be holding my breath though !!

I would just like to remind everyone that I will be enforcing a zero-tolerance policy this year, after eventually learning my lesson the hard way, and people who harass other members in the forums will find their forum posting privileges denied pretty sharpish in 2010. I'm just letting YOU and any others that are reading this know - fair warning.----------------- Authorised Pro9 forum advertiser/sponsor

I would just like to say thanks to the contributors of this thread. I haven't laughed so much in ages.
Mr Southern (and I use the term mister very loosely) I look forward to discussing this thread with you in Buxton. Your replies are superb.
And as for Mr Muse nobody really gives a monkeys how you lost your matches. You lost the end. I am one of the biggest moaning whingers on the tour and it annoys me to be that way but thats life. Get over it. You may beat Tony you may not. You may beat me you may not. But nobody really cares. This all started because you were totally out of order by posting negative remarks about a club/the manager and about Mr Weafer who have all worked hard to try and get the leagues up and running. You then decided to throw all your toys out of the pram about it and decided to quit the leagues.
Remember 95% of the pool community will stick up for each other so when you take on one you take on them all.
Now go away. Practice your break and whatever else you need to practice and come back when you are good enough to compete with the rest of us. And don't bother with the letter writing cos nobody really cares!!!!!

From what I'm reading I may have failed to gain a tour place in 9-Ball but most of you failed in life. You cast judgement over me without knowing the facts and use your numbers to attempt to bully me.
