they would also have to be a member of the british pool federation in order to compete in epbf or wpa events.

Hi Robin. It is a £5 difference. The extra money is for pay on the day. We want committed players to pay up entry early it's alot better for the comps and for us so we can be organised before the event.

it will put some people of to bud, take me, I do not have internet banking and finish work after 6 so impossible for me to get to a bank to pay up front and I would not pay £50 each comp to enter just because I cant pay upfront

Hi Rick thanks for your comments I can understand what your saying. The problem we have is as follows:-

*The Friday before the event all prize money ect is worked out. Then players drop out and new players come in. That means the work has to be redone several times.
*it's not so bad when we have say 32 players registered but an event like this one that is so far a low entry. If we allow all players to pay on the day we might end up with a 5 player event due to players not turning up. If we know this to be the case we would postpone but with pay on the day we don't know until it's to late.
*I'm sure you must know somebody who if you gave them cash could transfer your entry for you???
*we want committed players who put the date in there diary and commit to the event.
*Players who pay in advance would lose there entry fee if they don't turn up (except in extreme circumstances) How is it fair that those players are pushed for paying upfront when pay on the day players wake up in the morning and think. Nah I don't fancy going today.
*There are players willing to travel up to 300 miles to play these events but would want to know the minimum prize money before travelling. We lose these players as we can never say for 100% however now we can.
*imagine we said pay on the day to all and you get the train at your expense. You arrive and it's just me, Mark and yourself, guarantee you wouldn't be happy. That's what could potentially happy without these stricter rules.
We also have the club's to consider who need to know if extra staff are needed for the event again at the moment we cant say for definite and would hate to lose a venue due to staff wages being wasted.

If you really want to play m8 there are many ways to make a payment with a bit of effort.

This isn't in anyway a dig at you Rick it's just an explanation of the reasons why we are enforcing this. I know when you say you will but there then you do turn up but has to be one rule for all bud. You say we may lose players due to this and I agree but at the same time we would lose alot more players and alot quicker if players waste time and money to an event that's expected to supported but isn't.

Sorry if there is mistakes in this... typed on my phone therefore its my phones fault haha

***Rule Change***

***Having listened to the players views T9B have decided the following rule:-
Each player will be given 1 life for pay on the day. As we want players to pay in advance there will be a £5 charge for pay on the day players. If a player puts his/her name on the list but doesn't attend or let us know before the Thursday before the event (except extreme circumstances) they will be expected to pay a fine of half the entry fee before they will be allowed to play future T9B events. We can't say fairer than that***

Also the winner of this event will be the first player invited to the Champions Of Champions event at the end of the Season.
Entry for this event will be £30 if paid on the day of winning the event this confirming your space. There is already over £400 added to this event pot and the event will be open to a maximum of 16 players.

Even more reason to make this Euro Tour Qualifier your first T9B event of the new year.
