I reckon the fact you smashed all the pro's up on route to win it might have an effect on it hammer.... plus your ranking which ain't your fault but good results get rewards and in this case it's done you no favours pal!!!!

Chris - del here pal, I know you got a point, you know you got a point as I feel there are many out there that've been allowed to play with past wins such as yours. You're up there with Courtney and your results at GB9 showing just how consistent you're now.

There's a way to get that point over and not slate the organiser publically, Gb9 discussed all grievances offline for good reason. I don't think being in pro division makes you a pro just a top amateur as it's not your full time job like many believe.

Send Phil an email and with handicap system in place there should be a spot for all willing to enter across the country as that's what T9B is trying to achieve, value and competition at all levels.

Can't wait to see you there bud and give you a spanking with my 4 start! lol

Too good a guy not to have around pool in UK imo pal, fair play for sticking to guns, need to go over to the states. You'll make a fortune. Big risk granted but you'll not regret it.

Really looking forward to this event. The first event was really good Imo. A totally different atmosphere with no handicaps. I believe the break dish will be big at this event also with £120 in the pot already I quite fancy 10ball £25 per ball. If your names not down you will miss out if you don't enter soon. If your name is down get your entry paid asap to save disappointment.

I say let both Chris and Craig in this event, both -4 handicap, see how the results fair up. Great opportunity for the lesser player to play top players with a chance of learning a few things....

Thanks dazza, talking sense... Especially as I'm not playing any 9ball unless it's gb9.... I don't mind a bent handicap, I'm used to it.... I just want the opportunity to play! lol I just don't understand when you have people like Courtney, Shaun, Liam monk, Tom stavely, Phil and Twomey etc who are all century snooker players? But I can't play??
Crazy....

Have to agree there tbh, players named above are way above amateur level and as far as I know they dont have a good ranking on gb9 because they simply dont play on it so I agree I say let them play of a -4 and see how it goes, better to let them play and learn from them than just stopping them playing as dont help any 1 :)

Just to add to this, I've noticed Craig has played 8 T9B events according to the website, I take it these were 'open' events?
I think the best thing all round would be to allow players who want to play 'play' in the amateur events or hold more 'open' events with no handicaps.
Problem we have in the uk is that there are far too many players wanting to earn out of playing instead of just playing from scratch against a better player to learn the trade, then once their game has progressed to a high level, then enter the events to make money.
Over the years I have played the likes of Craig, Daryl, Melling etc all off scratch and although I got beat heavily I learnt so much.....
Please just let us ALL play some pool!!!!! :-)

Dazza we all have to start somewhere, I used to get battered all the time when I first started, I'll never forget a particular match when mr peach did an exhibition on me in an old pro9 tour match many years ago, and also a certain Steve knight doing something similar.... Without these experiences I would not have improved as I did over the years... If you want to improve, you have to play the top players!
Come on Phil Wildman, let me play, I can't even play in my own club anymore, without T9B (which is the only other tournaments around ATM - and I salute you for that!!) I just have GB9 and the mrs to keep me entertained.... So if you had a heart you'd give me a rest bite from the mrs!!! Lol
