Ronnie_Mirror

By now, everyone should know that Stephen Lee has been found guilty of match fixing as we posted the WPBSA Press Release in the "Industry News" section of Pro9's forums.

Then Ronnie has come out with this.

Is he right or wrong?

I'm deliberately leaving this fairly ambiguous as I want an open discussion.

A mate of mine is 100% convinced that all the top snooker players are in on it... My argument is that if I were in the top 16 I wouldn't just accept that it happens, something would have to be done. Especially Ronnie doesn't seem to be the kind of person to just sit back whilst its going on around him...

I believe it happens definitely, people are greedy. The more you have the more you want kind of thing...

Wherever there is money involved there will be someone somewhere who is seeking to gain an unlawful advantage to get it.

I think now that there is more opportunities for good players to make money with more tournaments and a different format this may reduce the temptation for those who would do something like this.

It's unlikely that Hann, Jogia and now Lee are the only ones who have EVER done this. It is also likely, in my view, that any player who has done it before may choose to do it right from now on as there is, at least, a reasonable expectation to get caught.

John Higgins was caught bang to rights, the greedy no good +*=»! Should of got a life ban, instead of a slap on the wrist. This I believe set a precedent and his peers of a lesser standing took a view. I don't actually blame the "journeyman pros"for taking a dive, it's the multiple champions/wealthy pros who should have the book thrown at them .WPBSA only have themselves to blame.

As for Ronnie, no reason to lie
