Can't believe I missed it! I come back in from shopping and they're talking about it on BBC. What happened?

after the first red and black he asked the ref what the prize for a 147 was

there was a slight delay as no-one knew what the prize was, so ronnie just kept on playing waiting to hear what the prize was

halfway thru the break the ref told ronnie there was no xtra prize only the £4000 highest break prize was on offer

hearing this ronnie just scrunched up his face and laughed! lol

ronnie being ronnie kept on with the break tho and cleared up to the black

he then decided that the 140 break would be enough for the highest break and so shook mark kings hand and didnt bother about potting the black!!!! lol

but the ref saw sense and told ronnie to pot it..........so instead of making sure he potted the black ronnie decide to leather it in hard as poss

luckily tho it went clean in the pocket

all this after the frame before where ronnie mucked up a positional shot and flipped, smacking the ball on his next 2 shots

Unbelievable... I'd gone to HSBC in Sheffield on my lunchtime where they sat me down in a nice waiting area next to a tele showing the snooker. He was about 6 reds into by this point and I was just praying the business advisor didn't call me through before the break finished :)

Absolute pure magic from the flawed genius!

I know it was a complete fluke that I saw it cos I don't even bother watching snooker anymore. If I was at home I would not have bothered turning it on because the game just bores me now. It was just an amazing conincidence that I went in to the bank at that time.

Dave it was nuts he then said Barry Hearn is meant to be putting money into the sport not taking it out... was not impressed by it at all!!

Just watched it again on the BBC highlights programme, including the end of the previous match and a few words by Ronnie afterwards... What a powder keg!
