I would think that Efren will understand very well the articulate nature of English Billiards, with being an acomplished snooker and 3C player as well as being well known for his skills on the 9ft'ers Efren is the kinda of guy who learns fast and although, I don't think that he'd be putting in runs of 100+ regularly, it wouldn't surprise me if he did make regular 100+ runs, because he's such a good all round player. Either way, it'll certainly be an interesting one Willie

I don't know all the rules of English Billiards, but once at One Side in Manila, Efren got bored of watching a 10-ball match and picked up 3 of the unused striped balls and started playing on a nearby table.
I thought he just practiced 3-cushion on a pooltable, but I noticed he often tried to pocket a ball too when doing this.
Don't you get points for both pocketing a ball and hitting the other in English Billiards?
If so, Efren can play that game too...

In English Billiards, the points works like this:- - Pot Red = 3 points - Scratching your own cueball off the red = 3 points - Carom = 2 points - Making your opponent's cueball = 2 points - Scratching off your opponent's cueball = 2 points - Pot red and scratching = 6 points. - Carom off the red first and scratching = 5 points. - Carom off your opponents cueball and scratching = 4 points. - Carom off the red, pot red and scratch = 8 points - Carom off the opponent's cueball, pot red and scratch = 7 points And so on... The reason for this is when playing caroms, scoring is counted by whichever object ball your cueball makes contact with first, which then determines how many extra points may be awarded for pots or scratches on the same shot. I hope this helps Willie ----------------- If ya got 'em, smoke 'em [ This message was edited by: TheWizard on 2010-04-20 12:55 ]
