Yes, that's exactly why extra tournaments / formats have been introduced and that might be good enough to get things going again.

Anyway, we'll just have to sit tight and see how things pan out.

its Snooker in a Darts atmosphere, and dont get me wrong, Darts has its place (almost all the time as far away from me as possible) but it just didn't feel right. Anything to raise the profile of Snooker is great imo but there must be something at least slightly better than that.

I agree that the crowd were a little embarrassing at times but I think it'll take time for them to create their own identity.

I'm a huge fan of traditional snooker and would hate this to intrude on that in ANY negative way...but I can't see how it could. It was also a probable record for the amount of times 9 Ball Pool has been mentioned on terrestrial telly which can only be good for us.

On a different note, would anyone agree that the 'Power Ball' was reacting slightly strange? I know the design on the ball is going to play a slight trick on the eye but it just reminded me of the times I've played snooker with a spotted white...it looked lighter in weight. It was also noticeably duller under the lights.

I thought the same about the power ball. Looks like the cheaper pool balls where the number is almost printed on the surface. They're usually a bit lighter for some reason.

Was that nap-less cloth? It looked to be sliding more than a snooker table and was very quick. Would be interesting playing snooker on simonis
