Danny, I can't believe you didn't mention that time when you shot the nine into that bloke's mouth and then he was abducted by aliens, remember?

He said they took him to their home planet and performed experiments on him... When they found the 9 ball they panicked and returned him. That shot HAS to be the longest shot ever!

Awesome thread. As the stories started to get wilder and wilder it immediately reminded me of the brilliant 4 Yorkshiremen sketch from Monty Python.

Dave, its funny you should mention that Alien planet. Me and Captain Kirk passed it on the way to infinity and beyond, to retrieve a 6 ball that had jumped off the table into the dylithium crystals of the Enterprises sister ship. I think infinity and beyond might take some beating. Tell the kids of today that, they wont believe you.
By the way, have I won that cue yet?
Yes, I have been drinking.

That said, I do remember a legendary shot...

Willie 'the wizard' Dines smashed a break shot, which hit the 1 ball and took off into orbit, hitting the roof of the club, then on the way back down, bounced on the next table, then the floor beside the next again table... and smashed Darren 'no hurry' Murray in the nuts. Class!

I was a witness to Tookster's story. Still laugh about it now!!!

Best wishes

After much laughter, I came up with one of my wittiest replies ever... 'Willie, that's a foul!'

I was in a pub in Mousehole, cornwall way and started playing 8 ball. the seats were on 1/2 of the sides and directly in line with the triangle and the D was a bloke with a pint in 1 hand and a sandwich in the other. I broke off and clipped the front of the triangle, jumped the cue ball off the table into the blokes nuts. I quickly retrieved the white and broke off again... the bloke and his mates shot off their seats VERY quickly. Its not many people who break the formation of 17 balls in 1 shot... but you had to be there really.....

I think some of these stories might be stretching the truth. But I know Big Dave is as honest as they come. I can vouch for him on this one.

And if my mind serves me correctly, I can actually remember the story about the pool player that was abducted by aliens. It was in the paper, the Sunday Sport, so it must be true.

Yeah Dave... them pesky Aliens hey! But still not as funny as when you decided to power the final 9 ball in the top corner to whitewash Francisco Bustamante 15 - 0 and it rattled in the jaws of the pocket. It flew into that mans pint without him noticing and he ended up swallowing it.

How long were we waiting outside that toilet cubicle?

Good times!
