Hi All
After completely falling out of love with the game, I gave up all forms of pool several years ago and competitively much longer than that (probably last small 9ball tourney would have been 2004 with a Pro Tour event in shepperds bush 2003-ish!)

I stumbled across my cues in the loft the other day and i figured i want to give it another go but through covid, the lack of clubs locally (Brighton) and it being nearly 20yrs, its all a bit daunting again.......so i'd like a bit of help please.

Are GB9 and T9B still the only national structures in place?

For those who gave up and came back, did you follow the drills again and just practiced until it came back or did you just play competitively until it clicked? (don't want to make a tit of myself repeatedly)

Genuinely feel nervous about this!

Welcome home Mike!

Of course, as proprietor of The Pro Shop I have to inform you that keeping your cues in the loft means they will have been ruined by the altitude and you will need a completely new set of equipment!

LOL

Good luck to you both. Been watching the WC on TV and certainly can see why you want to play again, I miss the game, players, competition etc.

I can't play any more Dave. My health gone downhill. I do miss it though and enjoying watching it on TV. Hope you are keeping well!

Happy new year everyone!

I've been away for a long time as well but hoping to enter a few events this year, as my kids are getting older now :)

Any recommendations on tips these days? My old moori from 10 years ago is no good, layers keep popping off!

I've started using a Moori Medium and I'm loving it!

Don't forget to check out the Pro9 Pool Diary for details of tournaments near you...
