The obvious and sensible choice for Team England.
Well done to both

least he makes the effort to travel and qualify for the invitational events...
obviously at moment he got few problems of the table... and where all human and make mistakes.
shame because week before he was playing great when beating bustamante/archer/hohmann all in same tournament...

chance that Boyes and Appleton might come across each other in the US 10 ball if they both win their next game. If that does happen, would be interesting to watch considering the two were just announced as partners.

And then when i have members of family emotional with what they are reading then imo it has crossed the line... Personally i think the whole topic should be deleted... Congrats to Chris and Daryl for making the England 'B' team. Bad luck to the UK's No. 1 & 2, Mark and Imran who I know were really hoping to be picked.

Am I right in thinking that they are now excluded from entering qualifiers also by virtue of there now being English teams in it?

Thats right! Only countries without teams in the tournament can enter the qualifiers!

I think it would be nice if Matchroom would explain why they have chosen the teams as they have, as it would help to clear up all confusion - especially for future events. If there were clear guidelines ie participation in world events, every player would have a fair crack of the whip - hand picking players with no explanation and disregarding the GB9 and Eurotour rankings seems absurd!

I can see that Scotland have replaced France in this - Jayson Shaw and Jonni Fulcher on the team!

Does anyone know if the prize draw has taken place for the WCOP VIP ticket holders? Is there a winner?

There was a prize draw for a Predator Cue by Matchroom, and apparently the winner has been informed, so if you haven't heard anything, it unfortunately means you haven't won.
Luke said there would be a press release about it coming soon.
