How is the English team picked, Daryl Peach and Mark Gray lost in the final i believe but were then not played last year, no offence to imran and darren who are clearly world class players, surely for events like this where they represent the country it should be done through qualifying competitions?
any thoughts

only winners get invited back last year i think me getting picked was obvious with winning world 10ball and masters world no 1 etc and imran was highest ranked player euro tour.. usually they use euro tour rankings but if someone winning world championships then common sense got to be used .. so this year its daryl and karl which i expected daryl done great on euro tour and now no 1 great achievment and he been very consistant this year winning twice and also won lugo open last summer.. karl boyes world 8ball champion plus 3 major finals in europe and plus other good finishes 7th us open 9ball,world team champion etc, so i think the two guys deserve there spots its tough on the likes of mark gray and myself and imran but i feel personally we didnt quite do enough to warrant a place in team but was in the mix.. but didnt snap big tournaments off like daryl and karl with exception of world team.and mark winning euro tour but the race still on for mosconi still lot of pool to be played before that team gets picked. anyway wish karl and daryl all the best its a really strong team and great chance of going all the way if they get a few rolls at the right time ,one thing for sure they will love the atmosphere and the experience plus there still seeded in top 8 so expect them to reach qf at least then anything can happen Good luck lads. ps.. ill probably be out there supporting them as from jakarta i will be going philippines and thailand for a few weeks

Matchroom mention in their latest press release that the field will consist of 32 teams, with 30 countries already confirmed and 2 spots going to qualifiers.Does anyone know anything about these qualifiers and what criteria will be used to find the remaining countries?

Here's your answer Jason...
"Dave,
We haven’t announced it yet but there will be a qualifying event after the next EC in Austria for pairs from countries not already selected.
Luke"
