What a pity, I enjoyed what I saw but found that players did not always know the rules or the commentators which makes it hard to attract a non pool audience who you need to generate the income for the payout
It's no good it being the game the pros want to play if no one is watching beyond the hardened pool fans

Sooo keeping my fingers crossed that this comes back soon, it is 100% the best thing in pool right now and single-handedly reignited my interest in the game.

Unfortunately, a quick browse of AZ suggests that the pool community (which is of course a vast ocean of amateur players, there are very few fans) can be added to the list of species that thrive on eating their young.

Get well soon WPBL!!!

You have to feel for the professionals in recent years. They seem to get promised things over and over and then let down.

IPT, World events getting cancelled or not paid out. The US open. Now this..

Such a shame as I was really enjoying watching it.

These aren't multi millionaires. They're journeymen often from working class backgrounds trying to earn a living from something they love.

It would be easy not to care about the pro's but the reality is that if there is money and success at the top level, that always filters down. Look at the organisation and possibilities available to amateurs at other sports, for example Tennis, football or golf.

It looked great! It was worrying even on night one when 10,000 viewers crashed their servers. ! I'd have expected over 10k US viewers alone tbh!

That said, I do hope it comes back on as it truly did look like it could do some good, love the team atmosphere and people supporting their home team.

Clearly the players liked it too as it was elements of all games in one!

:(

I've watched the free videos on Youtube, and I did subscribe for the first week but didnt get to see any matches. I like the game, and personally would like to give it a go. If they released a scoreboard app and made the proper balls a bit more affordable, I'm sure others would like to play, and like Phil said in an earlier post maybe even set up some tournaments

Oh ye of little faith!

I have it on good authority, from those who know (i.e. tournament staff) that a press release will be forthcoming next week confirming that the league will resume on 1st August 2013.

I also understand that there will be no more PPV until the play-offs - so we'll all be able to watch Daz's Philadehphia Aces romp away with the title!

p.s. I have been given permission to "leak" this info!

YEEHAW!!!

Really like Bonus Ball, hope it picks up speed and more people play it. Needs to be a scoreboard app though, maybe would have to do away with the time element unless you had a ref for each match
