The front page article now contains the latest WPA World Pool Rankings - updated to take into account the results from this event... Good to see 5 Europeans in the Top 8.

Whilst this, and the finalist's photo album isn't exclusive, you Pro9'ers ARE the first people to view this anywhere in the World.

Europe was represented up to the quarter-finals thanks to the of action Serbian Sandor Tot, based in Hungary who managed to reach 5th place. While in ninth place others European slipped like C. Reimering, Germany, Switzerland Dimitri Jungo and Craig Osborne, UK: Filipinos landed with seven players Felicilda, Pharaoh, Alcano, Lining, Mendinilla, Manalo and Bustamante. The American group was represented by Archer USA) and Klatt (Canada). While Asians Kuo Po Cheng and Yang C. Shun from Taipei and Japanese Hijikata, Thses players were the last 16

If there any pool player that really has deserved to be world champion, it has got to be Fancisco Bustamante and I'm really glad that he has finally achieved this victory.

Major congrats to Francisco and may he enjoy every moment of his achievement.

Also well done to Ossie and Scott Higgins on a great effort in the event as well and to all the other UK players who competed :)

Willie
