2008 World 14.1 Straight Pool Championship
The 2008 Predator World Straight Pool Championship will feature the best 14.1 players in the world, in invited for this event and from qualifiers held around the world. In total, 64 elite players will be playing for the title of 2008 World 14.1 Champion.

This event has a strong history of European achievement as last year was an all Euro final between Huidji See from the Netherlands, and the eventual winner and 2007 World Straight Pool Champion Oliver Ortmann.
The 2006 event had a similar feel as another German, Thorsten Hohmann, took the World Straight Pool Champion title with yet another German in the runner-up spot - Thomas Engert.
Here's hoping Europe can do it again in 2008!
