EVENT INFORMATION
The 2011 Philippine Open Pool Championships is a world-ranking event sanctioned by the World Pool-Billiard Association. It will be staged at Megatrade Hall 3, SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.
The event features both a men’s and women’s division.
The men’s championship will have a 64-player main draw.
The women’s championship will have a 32-player main draw.
The featured discipline is 10-ball.

Players
(Entry and Qualifications)
The Philippine Open is open to players (male and female) from all over the world who wish to join, provided they can meet the conditions and qualifications set by the World Pool-Billiard Association and its organizer, Raya Sports.
The majority of spots in the tournament will be allocated via
a quota system devised by the World Pool-Billiard Association
and distributed among the continental federations.
Interested players are advised to check with their continental
federations if they have been given automatic spots by their federation and the WPA.
Qualifier (Men)
Players can secure spots in the main tournament via the qualifying tournaments.
There will be 10 qualifiers for men, staged over five days.
Players will compete in 10 single-elimination qualifiers.
The winner of each qualifier will get a spot in Stage 2 of the Philippine Open
Qualifier (Women)
There will be 4 qualifiers for women players interested in securing spots in the main tournament.
Entry Fees
Main tournament entry fee
Entry fee for the main tournament is $100, for men and women
This is payable to the WPA, which will not charge a sanction fee on prize money.
Qualifying Tournament Entry fee
$50 per Qualifier
$200 for Five Qualifiers
Entry Registration
1. Players can register by email raya@prismphil.com
2. Players can also register through their continental association, which must transmit by fax or email their entry application.
3. Players must be registered by February 28, 2011.
4. All Entry fees must be paid by March 31, 2011.
Entry Registration for Stage 2
1. Each continental federation will inform WPA by January 31, 2011
to fill their allocations.
2. Raya Sports should receive the players’ name list by February 20, 2011.
3. Unfilled quotas will go into qualifiers pool and will be used as wild cards by the organizer.

Awarding of Prizes
Prizes will be awarded at an awards dinner on Monday, 11 April 2011 at the SM City. WPA will preside prize presentation.
Visa
If invitation letter is needed for visa, please submit your personal details (full name, passport number, etc.) to mail@prismphil.com.
Residents of ASEAN countries do not need a visa to enter the Philippines.
Hotel Accommodations
1. All players in Stages 1 and 2 must take care of their own accommodations as provided for by WPA rules.
2. Raya Sports will provide a list of hotels near the venue that offer
Rooms at varied and discounted rates.
