Finland's Mika Immonen strikes again at The Wolf Den.

IMMONEN TOPS WINNER-TAKE-ALL $25,000 EVENT... AGAIN!

Last year, in the elated moment of passion after winning this event for the first time Mika Immonen said, “This is the toughest tournament in the world” referring to the winner-take-all pressure-cooker format of the Challenge Of Champions, “We may look cool out there, but the pressure is just incredible,” said Immonen “There’s no margin for error when every player is a champion. One shot missed and you can lose $25,000! Your nerves are off the chart during the entire tournament.”

Even that win last year couldn't have prepared him for the Sudden Death single rack shoot out with everything on the line against Filipino giant Francisco Bustamante - but prevail he did, as he broke, made a ball, and dished the rack, pocketing a cool $25,000 reward, and the impressive record of being the first player to retain the annual title in it's 20 year history.

This year's four man line-up was jam-packed with European talent, as England's Karl Boyes and Ralf Souquet from Germany made the selection for achieving superb results throughout the year. In the semi-finals Souquet was beaten in 2 straight sets to nil by Immonen, but Boyes took Bustamante all the way to the wire, Francisco winning the first set 5-0 and then Boyes taking the second 5-2, only for Francisco to break Karl's heart by winning the Sudden Death single rack decider.
