Australian Robertson celebrates World Snooker Championship win!

Neil Robertson was elated as he won the 2010 BetFred.com World Snooker Championship with an 18-13 victory over the 2006 Champion Graeme Dott in the small hours of the morning.

28 year old Neil Robertson, the plucky Australian, originally from Melbourne but now living in Cambridge entered the arena knowing that he was the bookies' favourite to take the World title when the final started, but he didn't have it all his own way.

Former World Champion Graeme Dott must have been amused that he was the underdog according to bookmaker and sponsor BetFred.com, especially after the Glaswegian notched up a superb, late night victory over England's much fancied Mark Selby in the semi-finals.

Indeed, Dott established a modest lead in the first session of the final when Robertson seemed to struggle to settle in, but gradually Robertson gained a small lead and held it until the final session where both players showed signs of fatigue, and "The Thunder from Down Under" pressed ahead for the victory.
