Fabulous food and wonderful wine await you in Lugo, Galicia, Spain.
There's more to this year's premier Spanish event than the 30,000 Euro prize fund!
I always think Galicia in Spain is very much like Scotland - see if you can tell which I'm describing here... The locals speak with very strong accents and many words sound completely different, the weather is cooler up North, there are many picturesque coastal fishing villages, such beautiful low mountains, and the traditional costume includes a skirt-like affair for the proud men. Actually, that's Galicia - and if you've not been before you're in for a real treat!
Lugo itself is an historic place, surrounded by an ancient Roman city wall - and the venue is a large conference centre beautifully situated on the banks of the river Miņo. While you're there, make sure you try the seafood as it is out of this world - so fresh it could still swim, and accompanied by a simply stunning local wine your evenings will be idyllic.
Add to that one of the best organised pool tournaments in the world and you've got a winning combination that even the most battle hardened pool player will love!
RyanAir fly to Santiago de Compostela and foreign players will be collected at the airport - there's already half a dozen Brits registered and there's likely to be more as you simply can't beat this opportunity!

Anyone with questions about this tournament or venue should speak to Pat Holtz, Rico Diks, Raj Hundal, Paddy McLoughlin and Karl Boyes who were among the entrants in 2008.
There is a limit of 256 players, 32 of which will have come from a qualifying tournament of Spanish players who play in the lower divisions.
We will play groups of 32 with races to 8, winner breaks and double knockout. Top four from each group to play straight knockout, races to 9 and winner breaks. Tables will not be tapped.
