Craig Osborne being presented with the tallest trophy ever seen in 9 ball!
Leicester's Rack 'n' Roll club
At precisely 11.00am the Rack 'n' Roll sports bar went from being totally deserted to rammed full of pool players in what must be a record for mass punctuality, all of them wanting to get a couple of practice games under their belts before the start.
The tournament was oversubscribed and some players had to be disappointed as the popularity of pool tournaments appears to be growing and growing. The lucky players have been battling through the group stages all morning and the last 16 qualifiers were announced slightly ahead of schedule at around 6pm.
Someone is running a book here, so why not try to pick a winner from the groups shown below and we'll tell you how much you would have won?

Beautiful buffet Bernice!
Many thanks to Bernice from Rack 'n' Roll for the fabulous buffet - including sesame prawn toast and other lovely oriental bits and pieces accompanied the more traditional fayre associated with cold buffets.
This is a welcome addition that I'm keen to encourage to the current pool circuit - especially if it's as tasty as this.
