Fantatic performance from Kev who has beaten Thorsten Hohmann in the last 32 and Thomas Engert in the last 16. Daz Appleton has also done really well again and there is the chance of an all British semi. [ This message was edited by: cusack_147 on 2006-05-06 12:12 ]

Just a mention for David Alcaide who obviously had an epic battle to beat Tony Drago 10-9

Kevin Uzeel loses out 10-6 to Neils Feijen. David Alcaide loses out 10-4 to Oliver Ortmann. Vilmos Foldes beats Nick Van Berg 10-7 Appleton match still in progress. I think Oliver Ortmannn will win this event, he seems to be back to his best since qualifying for the IPT. -----------------

David Alcaide won 10-9, Tony to break, plays everything but misses a cut shot on the 4, white snookered behind the 6, he can jump the 4, but doesn;t really know where white would end (only the 6 and 9 left on the table) It's an all or nothing shot, he makes it, perfect on the 6 and finishes it easily
Darren against Klaus: Darren 5-0 up, Klaus to break, white scratches, Darren BIH, pots the 3, but the 2 is still on the table (stupid!!!! ) but anyways, Klaus comes back into the race.... 9-9 Klaus to break, some safety's if i remember right... Bad safety or fluke don;t know, Klaus can clear the table.... I thought it was finished when he was on the 6, told a friend that it was over because he wasn;t going to miss anymore.... At the same moment he misses the 6, hanging in the pocket... Daz can win the match now!!!! And he does!!!

Yes, bad luck to Daz and Kev. Well done to Daz though because at only his second event of the season he is yet again the highest placed Brit (joint with Kev this time) and yet again he was beaten by the eventual winner. I just get the feeling that it won't be long before he's standing on the winner's rostrum at one of these events. Not bad for someone who only really plays 8-Ball [ This message was edited by: Riggers on 2006-05-08 11:47 ]

Yes well done Daz and Kev for 2 great efforts in Germany!! After watch Stolka get a few nice rolls against Daz in the quarters i had a feeling it was gonna be his day...I had the pleasure again to commentate in the final and he played very well to beat Ortmann.
Switzerland result :
I got beat in the quarters by Teigle from Germany who went on to beat Engert in the final.
Semis were The 2 above plus Alex Lely and Michael Schmidt.
