Hi All, I am thinking about coming onto this new EPT tour (US Style 8-Ball), I currently play on the Reds & Yellows 8-Ball but from what I have heard this is the game for the future, anyhow what I need to know is what do the rankings mean to me, or is it going to be worth my while making all the events in a season, Is the £2000 first prize going to be just the first event then trash money from then on based on entries. And what are the aims of this tour is it just going to go along the same lines for a few years or is there an aim to it, like TV coverage etc, in the future of course, For example darts was drifting into obscurity and now look at it, sorry guys if I am trying to put a downer on the tour but I am looking at the future for myself, and other top players of course, any info would be welcomed. JD :-?

Hello, I am Daryl Peach and I am the founder of the EPT. If you have any questions at all, you can put them across via email to me at darylpeach@empirepooltour.com

You can also visit our website at www.empirepooltour.com

I will answer this one for you now though because this is the sort of thing we are getting asked a lot so it will be good for everyone to see this.

Ok firstly, the rankings are going to be a major part of the EPT, all "extra" events will available to ALL players based on their rankings. PERIOD!
And may I add that we are already organizing an "extra event" for next year which will be for the top 64 players on the EPT rankings, and the prizes on offer are going to big.
I canít say too much on this at the moment but I do have a meeting early next week with a huge sponsor that is very interested in doing this.
For this big event it will be your best 6 from the first 7 events so donít miss out.

Secondly, the prize money for the first event in Manchester is just a starting point, and this also goes for the IPT places up for grabs as we want to build on this for the future. Because of the interest we have received already for the first event, and also the big interest from certain sponsors, we are already talking about upping the prize money for ALL future events, this will be decided after the Manchester event.
I do want to say that all the players that already have shown/do show an interest in the first event in Manchester will be given first opportunity for entry of the second event.

And thirdly, as for TV coverage I am almost certain that if the meeting that I mentioned goes well next week and we sign this major sponsorship agreement, then TV will be involved at some stage for sure.

As I have said before, the EPT is going to be a huge success and it is totally up to you as a player if you want to be part of it.
The first event is only just over 2 weeks away now and everything is in place for the launch.

Donít be disappointed, donít miss out.

Daryl Peach.

Hi JD, i should just make this clear to all players.

To be as fair as possible to ALL players, there will be no favouritism on the EPT.
This also goes for the entry fees, even if you tell me you are 100% playing, then turn up on the day it will cost you £90 to enter instead of the £75 for paying in advance.

This may sound harsh, but its the fairest way to do it, as many players have already took the time and affort to pay in advance.
