The Rack'n'Roll will be hosting its 11th Annual 9 Ball open competition on Sunday 7th April starting at 11.00AM. Doors will open at 10.30am with registration ending at 10.45am(so please make sure you are here by then) so that groups and opening games can be announced and so we can start on time.

Limited to 40 entries maximum. Entry fee is £20 per person and this is to be paid in advance by the 2nd April by PayPal or can be paid at club if you’re local, you can contact me for payment options through pm here or my email which is below to sort payment.

The format will be 1st round group stages random draw and it will 8 groups of 4 and a race to 6 alternate break or groups of 5 then race to 5, top 2 of each group to go through to knockout stages. The winner for example of group 1 will play runner up of group 8 and so on but will be pre-determined draw for which group winner plays which group runner up.

Groups will be decided as follows in this order: wins, rack difference, racks won and if those are all equal then on head to head. After groups stages it will be last 16 straight knockout onwards race to 7 in last 16, quarter finals, semi-finals and a race to 9 in the final and it will be winner breaks in the straight knockout phase.

At last year’s open Tem Dixon beat Tommy Donlon 9-7 to win the tournament. There were 37 runners at last year’s event and a prize fund of over £600. We hope you will turn out again for this year’s event and make it a success again as in previous years.

All entry fees will be paid out in prize money and also the winners name will go on our house trophy. Past winners include Bobby Lee and Matt Potter, Ben Moore and Tommy Donlon. Craig Osborne, Ben Buckley, Jack Whelan and last year’s winner Tem Dixon.

The venue is Rack 'n' Roll sports bar,

Another cracking poster, (I love the "* Insert £20 to continue *" strap - that brings back memories) and a terrific sounding event too!

I'll add the date to The Pro Calendar shortly.

Good luck with your tournament!

I would also like to announce that i now have opened the entry up to a maximum of 40.

In doing so the races will change from 6 to 5 if in a group of 5 due to the extra games to be played.

We have 6 spots remaining and for those already signed feel free to start making your payments.
