I am new to this site but have played a GB9 event as a reserve previously, my name is Jon, I am hoping to get some info in regards to GB9 new season and other tournaments. Whats the verdict on the new GB9 format? how many have signed up already? How many entries are expected this season? Will most players pay for the season or event by event? Does the new format just suit the professional players? Is the Hotel still the same price? (as get emails all the time with discounts) Based on the entry to prize money where does over £5000 go each event and more if higher entry? Are there many players dropping out from this season? I ask these questions as I am only going to join if there is a large entry, i wont if there isnt gonna be many entries. Any other tournaments worth playing in? I saw there is one in Leicester in a few weeks, Leic not far from where I live but its full and i have been reading other posts on this forum and it seems the guy who is running it seems like a fool who is always on the rob. ignore other posts if ur on about barry french i dont know the guy but i wdnt say he is on the rob thats a harsh an strong thing to put. as far as im aware he runs events to give players a chance to play as there aint so many events around these days and im sure he does it all for free in his owm time etc so he shd be applauded and not criticised and nor shd anyone who puts events on

Craig Dixon is lucky that forum monikers can't be sued for libel! If anyone used logic they'd see that anyone who has lost the majority of their matches but keeps coming back wants experience, and is not on the rob. He's taking advantage of the fact that I have Asperger's. He's nothing more than a sad bully who loves himself. I love running comps and always had good feedback on how they've been run. I can't do many as Keith Walkerdine runs several per year in Leicester, but he steps back for one event because he knows I want to be involved. All I'll say to this ColumbusKid/Jon is this. If you are not far from Leicester you are more than welcome to come to where I practise, I'll sort out table time etc just come and meet me for yourself rather than going off two peoples comments.
