T9B is once again teaming up with Mickey Flynns Cambridge in September 2012 as we announce The Championship of the Nation Double Chance tournament. This event will be played over the weekend of the 8th and 9th September. As announced in a previous post this double chance event will have a twist... the top half of the draw will be 9ball and the bottom half will be 10 ball. The way this competition works is each paid entrant will be entered in both the top and the bottom half of the draw for one single entry fee and matches will be played on a straight knock-out basis. This format really is a superb design as it offers players the chance to play both 9 and 10 ball within one comp, a guaranteed two matches and the chance to get into the prize money twice giving this event a truly unbeatable value. T9B created this format in 2011 and since then have run 4 different events using it with great success and fantastic feedback. Entry fees will be staggered with top rated players paying a higher fee to enter and we will also use a slight handicap system. We hope this doesn’t put players off from entering, its just there to try and give lesser players more motivation to enter because at the end of the day without the core of players there is no tournament.
**please note event will be 1 or 2 days dependant on entries**
Richard Jones will also be running a £15 entry flyer on the Friday evening for any players arriving early. This will give players a great chance to practice on the tables and also try to earn some early prize money.
