looks like all the cat 3s are putting the cat 4 and 5s off,id say ban the cat 3s then youll get more entrys from 4 and 5s,i mean who`d enter a comp knowing you cant possibly win ;-)

To say you have a job and work all these hours, your posting on here an awful lot Doc ;) everyone on that list so far is capable of winning. If we want to run our own comp for our cat then so be it. If your so bothered you should organise your own, you would still probably complain then lol

i work through the night mr bean and also own a iphone,so when blasting out the tunes on the motorway i have full access to the internet, any more information you need to know feel free to ask, only thing i cant do within my job is play 9 ball ;-)

plus im not bothered im merely pointing out that its not because cat 2s are entering like you are saying,so stop using cat 2s as an excuse for poor turnouts

if we want to run our own comps haha, jesus h christ, listen to yourslef mr tournement director, good luck with your 4 entries,am sure it will be a success, great idea barring cat 2 players,if you need an hand running it mark lunn could possibly help ;-)

trying to outwit me isnt your smartist move ;-)

id be happy to let cat 2s in if the handicap is right - if it helps get 8 players for straight ko. Think cat 2s should give cat 4s +6 and cat 3s +4 to make it even personally

Didn't realise you need some sort of certificate to run a small tournament doc, That's why I put it as 100 entry so it's worth playing even if 5 or 6 players are interested it's still worth winning!

If the tourney is as entertaining as this thread it will be well worth entering lol

I'm not bothering because I think I should be a Cat 4. Nicky beat me on the Brunswick by a lot more than the 3 start I gave him so if he's a cat4 I'm a cat 6 lol

I wouldnt have minded this pal if i wasnt recovering. Me being a cat 5 aswell, would have possibly stood a slight chance. Gotta keep like of Lunny out though, unless he's turning up in his thingy Turpin attire :D

Go with Macca idea. Everyone gets a fair chance club gets more players and no1 gets cut out. Everyone's a winner

IMO a cat 3 player has more chance of beating a cat 2 player than a cat 5 player would have of beating a cat 3 player. I don't see the cat 5 players moaning about that, strange characters in the pool world, lol.

Seems to me the cat 3 players are trying to rip off the the cat 4's and cat 5's and then the cat 2's get accused of ruining tournament entries because they always win, gimme a break!

Just FYI Arfan, i was joking mate. Im one of the players (Lunny will confirm) that would much rather be playing a better player as i pick my game up. I wouldnt have been entering this anyway as im busy, i was just stoking the fire haha

Maybe, but cat 5s have even lesser chance of beating a cat 2. I don't see any cat 3/4/5 players moaning :-)

I wasn't having a dig at anyone, just amazes me to see that some cat 3/4/5 players that play on the GB9 ball tour don't like to play with the cat 2 players in local comps but pay silly money to play the cat 1s and 2s on the premier GB tour for american pool, #GOFIGURE, lol

Nah he wasnt joking. All about the money for him!

But no seriously the players that dont want it to be an "Open" event are the ones that think its all about the money, even the cat2s enjoy the game, and thats why start should be fair 2 to 5 or 2 to 3.

Lunny - getting punished for being too good (apparently)
