The most common topic in the Kozoom livestream chat seems to be why there are no English players at the European Championships.

A couple of disappointed fans who love watching our players have told me they feel like the EC's prestige is diminished by not having all the best European players attending.

It's certainly flattering, and frankly, I think many of us know at least some of the reasons why our players don't attend, but I'd like to hear the debate, for and against attending, especially if we get some points of view from the players themselves.

Is there any chance that we may have representation in the future - next year for instance?

Well, it's over to you!

It's because there wasn't federation , Richard jones trying to set it up to get itonnext year, but lots of other countries are funded to go, some teams have coaches, physics and masseurs with them !, the BWPPA team are only here coz we have some sponsors on the tour, but the whole thing costs a lot
£200 flights
£ 300 entry fees 100 per event
£600 hotel room (only breakfeast inc)
Food and drink money for 10days, as hotel is in the middle of nowhere, beer is £4 pint, coke £2, mars bar 1.50
Cheapest meal in hotel £12
So your looking at £1500 in total for no prize money, maybe that's one of the reasons

Yep, the main reason is defo expenses!! I would defo like to play the Euro champs 1 year... But i am struggling to fund myself for the next 3 months on the World/Euro tours as it is....!!!!!! Without sponsors it is oh so difficult...... As said earlier we r in the process of setting a federation up - BPF (British Pool Federation) Then we can send players next year and pay flights, hotels, entry fees..

It is bad that the EPBF don't put up any prize money for Euros. It's also just as bad that the WPA don't offer any prize money for wheelies World 9ball
