with the darts been on all over xmas and new year me and mr boyes have been in discussions and were thinking of running a darts comp at each event starting after the last games finish on the fri and sat night. (obviously with the ok from the commitee, who id hope would contact the hotel as we'd need a suitable place for the board)

the way it would work is, karl can aquire a portable system which includes a board, surround and a stand for around £150, hopefully gb9 will provide this for the players who want to take a break from pool after all the games have finished.

SO

There iis a max of 16 players all paying (entry to be decided) to play a best of 5 set match, the matches will start on the fri night between 2300 and 0200 (when the bar shuts and the semi and final on the sat night aprox same time. There will be so many matches at each event with the final been at the last event.
Doing it this way and not running an ever ant each event won't take anything away from the pool ad the player can orgenise there matches themselves.

doing this in the bar area will:
1 - generate more custom for the bar as i feel a fair few players wiil want to watch or play in the event
2- give the players who are out something to do
3- generate a bit of atmosphere around the place.

this is only an idea what me and karl has had while chatting this evening.

if all all goes to plan with gb9 and the commitee who would be interested in playing in these events ??
