The idea of this tournament is for a group of 9 ball enthusiasts to come together for a days pool, remember the pool nut that was Mark Lovell and raise a load of cash for Macmillan Cancer Care.

In the spirit of this the entry fee will be a modest £20 with ALL entry fees donated to the fund set up for Phil Morgan's 3 peaks challenge in aid of Macmillan.

Full details:

Date & Time:
Sunday 29th January 2012
Registration at 11:00 - play starts 11:30 sharp

Entry fee:
£20 min (although more would be appreciated)
Pay on the day

Winner:
To be presented with beautiful personalised trophy

Format:
9 ball
Limited to 32 runners
Double elim to the last 8. Then straight ko.
Matches on winners side Race to 7
Matches on losers side Race to 5
Pro cup balls will be provided.
Tables will be tapped

As we all know Mark loved nothing more than playing money games. With this in mind all players are encouraged to wager side bets on all the matches they play from £5 min (No maximum)

Venue:
Rileys Solihull
Hob's Moat Road
Solihull
West Midlands
B92 8JN
0121 742 6068

Organiser:
Andy Warden

Details of Phil Morgan's challenge to which all proceeds will be donated:

Hi Andy

Just to let you know i have organised a mini bus (there and back) to take any player wishing to travel from Leicester (Pick up/drop off outside Rack n Roll) for this tourny. If you wish to book a seat the cost is £10 for the return journey.

The owner has agreed to do it for cost, so after fuel and the cost of the driver if there is anything left over, that too will be added to the fundraising.

After speaking to several players yesterday i'd expect to bring at least a dozen or more.I'll sort names and confirmation asap.

Anyone else looking for a lift locally feel free to jump on.

Ps: Good job organising the tourny Andy, and Phil, owt we can do to reach or best your target we will, good luck.

Tone

That's fantastic Tone, thanks so much for your support - Mark would have been overwhelmed with the response to this in just a couple of days.

I would really like to play but i have a project completion on the Sunday, it slurps.

I played in a T9 comp today and they did a lovely tribute to Mark, with everyone taking it turns to pot a 9 Ball in his honour.

In support of the Macmillan trust set up for Mark I am going to do either a 24 or 48 hour match. If this is something that appeals to anybdoy please let me know. Maybe will start a new thread on this, if Andy would prefer me to.
