Wooh, Jouni Tahti!!! That is great news... Make sure you've got a good cameraman there and get some photos.

Morning all just got up getting ready to do battle with Jouni. Played pretty well yesterday so feeling good, although pretty well won't be enough in my next match so looking to step it up again today. I'm sure Tony will keep you posted throughout the day.
Good luck to all the players

Semis Roy 2-7 jouni Tony 7-5 Phil Final Jouni 7-6 tony Well done Jouni, but I missed golden chance at hill hill played good shape on 8 basic stun off one cushion To get on 9 and rattled 8 and landed plum on 9 Can't believe such a basic miss, played great all w/end with good break (thanks to KB for that) some break and runs etc At 6-5 jouni missed easy ball and hooked me in the jaw with no shot to gp at, and i started thinking this was not my day To cap it all off at 5-4 up I knocked the video camera off the side and broke it !!! Onwards and upwards I'm confirmed 2nd in rankings 30 PTs behind Roy who had another great to top the rankings for the umpteenth year in a row, well done mate (rankings based on best 4 of last 5 events) I'll be gunning for you to try and take the no 1 spot next year, all up for grabs at the first event, i need to (JUST!!) finish above you at the event to take the no 1 spot, so I'm sure both of us will be working hard over the winter, both at our games, and to promote and expand the tour. Thanks to Alan John for being the tournament director and for John and the staff at Riley's Wavertree for hosting us again To all the players, please spread the word, able bodied players, do you know any wheelchair players, if so point them to us at www.bwppa.org, other BWPPA players, make more use of this great site in pro9., and spread the word. We will be posting the 2012 schedule in the nest few weeks, so keep an eye on the site. [ This message was edited by: tigger147 on 2011-10-23 20:40 ]

Great end to the season. It was great to have Jouni there, and I think it's fair to say he displayed why he's World Champion! Also it was great to see my old pal "the Mole" back on tour. Had 2 great matches with him but I was on the wrong end both times. Roll on 2012

Great weekend of pool yet again and like Matt said great to see Jouni (world champ) there as well as some old faces returning. Well done to the whole team for putting on a good event.
Congratulations to both winners Jouni in the main event and The mole in the Challenge. Bad luck Tony but yet again another final appearance.
All to play for next year the 2 most improved players for me have been Tony and Phil. Players to watch next year will be some of the Sheffield based players as I know there working hard at there game.
All in all 2011 has been a great season for the BWPPA and im already looking forward to next year.

Cheers Roy, worked really hard on my game this year, need to start winning more of the hill-hill games, been there 6-4 up v you at worlds 6-5 here v jouni Phil is impressive, will be pushing both of us, I'm sure mole will be back up there too, and Aslam won't be too far away if he plays a full season. Plus Duffy to come back and Danny, Shaun Madin good player too if he commits fully to it. Craig has lots of talent but reminds me of me at his age, if he calms his game down and slows down he has a good game as he has shown at gb9 Talking of gb9 is the fundraising at last event with Aslam going ahead ? Nice work Tony just a shade away from winning two tournaments in a row and beating World Champion twice too.
I take it Aslam didn't play this event as he wasn't in Semi's?

Tigger - Tony I really thought you had bucked the odds and beaten him twice in one event. You played well.
Macshagger - Matt I managed to beat Aslam 7-2 I was playing really well just a shame I did not take it into the next round. I'm pleased I'm back on the tour and will work hard over the off season. I went home with the Challenge Cup in the end.
Thanks for a great event guys!

Duff- glad to hear from you, as mole says Aslam went out early with only 50/60 Ranking points so I think he drops to 4th Hope to see you back in 2012 m8 [ This message was edited by: tigger147 on 2011-10-24 22:08 ]
