Rack 10 (Peach 6 - 3 Gomez) Race to 17

Peach breaks - 1ball drops - 2/9 tied up on top rail, cueball hidden behind the 5ball. No clear shot.

Daryl elects to push out, Gomez passes the table back, Daryl plays a fantastic safety.

Gomez escapes but leaves the 2ball on.

Daryl sinks the 2ball, 3ball, great positional play onto a toughly positioned 4ball. He then runs the rest of the rack.

7 - 3

Hi Guys, this is Ted Lerner. I'm at the araneta coliseum. I briefly spoke with Daryl just before the match started. I was amazed at how relaxed he was. It was mere minutes from the match to start and he was potting balls alone at the practice table. Several fans came up to him and asked to pose for photos and he happily obliged them. He told me he was a little nervous and that's to be expected. He said that's a good thing. I was impressed. Gomez was practicing on the other table and looked tight.
