andy im not playing sunday mate, cant be bothered one bit with the game, had 2 practice sessions in 10 week n if it wasnt for gb9 i wouldnt play at all,no motivation to play,as it stands my last year on gb9,even more so if i get in top 4 n have to go in pro section, not for me playing top level pool without practice, couple of reasons, cant be bothered to practice n no time plus on saturday gaz hopkins is playing george at rileys so no doubt il be having a few drinks n be in no fit state for sunday

I think top players need to accept that in these club comps there needs to be some sort of handicap? its nice to see 8 top players on the list but for players who dnt practice or are of lesser ability a non handicap comp is just giving away money. Without the entries there is no way players will travel and without the entry its prob not worth the clubs hosting these events. Someone needs to have a brainwave to work out a good way to handicap players then hopefully entries will increase as will the prize fund.

Make them lower races like 5 or 7 over a long distance the better player will normally win shorter races more 50-50 bad start your out see how the pop and tea lads get on if they dare enter

this is the reason deposits should be paid, as players are pulling out. no way is a lower cat gunna enter that with names as eric n craig down to play, their names on list scare sum people off n in end they dont play but now its too late for lower cats to practice n get ready for it,as i for 1 would enter this if i wudda known from start that the players who hav dropped out werent gunna play

Double elim and on the day any decent player could get a run together. If you don't try you don't know if you'll ever get better. I'm the only cat 4 down for this and can't afford to lose £40 but I can afford to learn.....just saying

the same also applies to top players, let them try n learn how to beat worse players with fairer handicaps, only way they will learn as well

Good idea with the deposits tho Gaz does reduce drop outs.
