Busta knew damm well he fouled, did you see him look round at the ref as he was walking back towards his seat, he knew it was a foul, and yet he was still celebrating a victory.
Unsportmanship imho, he deserved to loose after that the cheating sod.
Just goes to show his trash technique anyway, ive always said that the see-saw cue actions arent good under pressure, all he had to do was take the 2 ball with the rest, and it was match over, but yet he stretched right over, theres not much chance in delivering the cue through in a straight line with that sort of shot.
Serves bustamante right, he got what he deserved. To be fair to Bustey, Nigel Rees didn't call anything until a couple of seconds after the 9 went down so Bustey might of thought that the shot was good. I personally thought the call was incredibly close so I don't think it was Bustey cheating. ----------------- Chris @ Pro9

. I am not convinced the table swap is in Daryl's favour. If you consider the semi finals, Daryl didn't give Foldes a sniff on table 1, whilst Gomez just won 11 racks in a row against Boyzi on the table that is now to be used for the final. Using table 2 for the final may well give Gomez the edge as he has just played convincingly well on it in his last match, fingers crossed this isn't going to be the case and Daryl can claim the title he deserves. I agree, Daryl has been playing on the TV table alot where as Gomez has played on table 2. I hope Daryl can handle the change but to me this is another controversal decision, they should leave it like it is and amend it for next years event, not change it for the final when one player is playing well

The table was swapped not to favor Gomez, but to give a more exciting game using hard break rather than a dominating softbreak.....They will both gonna play in the same table anyway...

Not going to get much sleep tonight. This is just huge for us all. Superman is the real deal for sure but you have to say it would be a brave man to bet against Dazzler. He has shown true grit today. One more match to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pipe Cleaner done exceptionally well and what a debut to the WPC full stop! Karl got himself in shape and he was more than up to the task over this week. Talk about rising to the occasion.
I am up at 6 and will be watching (never got up at 6am on a Sunday before).
COME ON DAZZLER>>>>>THIS IS YOUR TIME PAL.
Si
PS: big up to Oz and Pat's beautiful partner for supporting Daryl
PPS: Dyno.....has Striker copped off with any ladyboys yet?

Serves bustamante right, he got what he deserved. look fella, you are entitled to give your opinion but i think you are out of order....... Bustamante is one of the real superstars of pool, those who have attended live pool events and those who have met him in person will tell you he is one of the kindest, friendliest guys out there. I very much doubt he 'cheated'................in real time, it was difficult to see whether it was a good or bad shot, he just wanted clarification that the call was right and I suppose after him seeing the replays, deep down he knew he hit the 9 ball first. Credit goes to Dazzler for holding it all together to take the last two racks under the conditions was an achievment within itself. ............and also don't let the unorthodox cue swaying fool you, he delivers the cue straight through the cue ball with the best of them........... lets not talk about 'he deserved it', this is the same guy who decided to play the final a few years back against Strickland after finding out 24 hours earlier that his daughter had died suddenly.... Bustamante is a legend.

It was clear.. Somebody who is a real superstar of pool as you put it Sam, will have spotted the foul a mile off.
He knew it, we all know he knew it. Through the whole match he was acting like a spoilt brat.
He's getting old a senile!

And if you watch the footage back... at the time of contact, Nigel wasn't even looking at the table, I just hope to god he was looking at a monitor for a better view.

He looked like a rabbit caught in headlights, but made the right decision taking it to video replay to be fair. But when Nigel, Michaela, Tournament Director all said it's a foul. It's a foul. Bustamante should know that that's the decision and accept it like a true sportsman. And the fact he wouldn't even look at Daryl when he went to shake his hand at the end. *sigh* [ This message was edited by: Danny on 2007-11-10 20:44 ]

When I saw Bustamante's antics during this match I wanted to post something about him.....but I decided not to. The guy is a legend and should be aloud to have an off day.
Try to remember the great things he has done rather than this one incident.

Just went to the worldchamps site and it states there that the final will start at 2.30pm local time. So that would be 6.30am here.
Guess I will get up for 6.30 start then.
