I tell you what, I know we lost and everything, but I enjoyed this one a lot... Great to see some new faces in the teams, thrilling entertainment thoughout, and I think with the online coverage more people probably watched this than ever before, and hopefully more people in America have enjoyed this fabulous tournament because of that too! It can only be good for The Mosconi Cup, for Matchroom, the players and our game. It's been a cracking year for Europe, and hopefully we can afford to be gracious and congratulate the winners and give a big "well done" to the players on both teams, and fair play to the Americans, they were class this year. EUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUROPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! [ This message was edited by: BigDave on 2009-12-13 23:26 ]

The only thing I regret is not taking up Roy's offer of a friendly wager! Ahhhhhhh.... Hindsight!

Totally agree with you Dave for me this has been one of the best and it does show that no one player is bigger than the event itself i.e no Pearl but still exciting. I know Hatch was very animated between racks and at the end of his matches but from what I could see he showed respect to his apponent when they were at the table.
Hope the viewing figures were high.
The_Sandman.....Already thinking about next years Mosconi

Was a bit gutted Daz didn't get to play on the final day, but you've had a great season mate and you should be proud. I'm sure you will make the team next year if you continue to play the way you are, hopefully with another fellow Brit along side you.

hatch did brilliant but slightly annoying at times, understandable though as in his interview you could see how passionate he is,crazy how he doestn travel n playin international events, the guy can pot them from anywhere and his break is big.overall usa won but had a lot of rolls n luck but it was said before the comp this would be needed to win the mosconi cup, newbies in the team did excellent with the pressure they were under, mika was very poor with his experience he has, fair play to usa, underdogs but pulled it off.am sure if the game was replayed tmoz, imo europe would not lose but if n buts
like big dave said he enjoyed it this year, first time in years that ive sat n watchin it all, loved every minute of it,hope next year is as good

Well Done USA, to be honest thought we could have took it to them for a bit longer but Ralf missed too many. Aaahhh well we'll get it back next year, I'm already starting to save up, not making the same mistake I did this year!

unlucky europe, made too many school boy errors, cant do that against top class opposition, i thought the come back was on but then the wheels fell off ralfs bus, taking completly the wrong shots on, if ralf beat svb in the 2nd match daz and mika were nailed on, just wasnt to be

best player or not you can still take the wrong shots on under pressure. we all done it.. the bottom line is the best team won they made the less mistakes. i only watched the 1st 2 days then i had seen enough. it was inevitable. especially when daz was 5-1 up and lost but didn,t do anything wrong really. only a bad safety and a scratch... maybe next year lads.. hope so anyway

Yeah unlucky lads....tried to dig in on last day, but was just too much to ask i guess! Felt sorry for Darren n Mika not getting to play on final day, had Darren down as a cert to beat Dominguez, and Same for Mika vs Duell. ....As we all know, the damage was done on days 1 and 2.....Europe way too negative and nervous, USA confident and up for it. 3rd n 4th days were more promising, the lads looked like they wanted it, but it was way too late. Van boening did really well to beat Ralf after he had took a good beating from him about an hour n half earlier....he showed his class and temprament there! Archer was solid and helped Duell and Dominguez loads in thier doubles. But the real star of the show was the Hatchetman, he was absolutely awesome from start to finish.....different class in this event. .....Will be interesting to see how Hatch reacts to a FULL Euro crowd next year! -----------------
