Unfortunately I've decided that I now don't want to play. It's nothing personal and I'm sure it'll be a good competition but my play has been seriously up and down which is upsetting me and I'm not willing to embarrass myself. Sorry

I was thinking about it and this only happens once a year so I may play after all, assuming I can get up in the morning. If I play bad nobody had better laugh...

Colclough back from the brink to take Merseyside 9 ball titleGB9 stalwart Stewart Colclough showed true grit to battle to the title with a 9-5 win over Liam Waterworth, Stuart was 4-0 and 5-1 down before battling back. In the semi-final with Mark Lunn, Mark was 6-1 up and scratched from an improbable angle off the 8 ball into the middle bag, when it looked like he would land plumb on the 9, and Stewart pulled the match around to win 7-6. In the other semi, Liam beat Matty Lawrenson 7-4. 19 players turned up to this event and there was some good pool on the day, big thanks to Riley’s for adding money to the pot, in particular to Club Manager John Beckinsdale who is shown in the photo between the 2 finalists, John is moving to pastures new next week, so best of luck in his new job and thanks for the support of the event.
