maybe andy should rotate a few unhandicapped tournaments every satday - 1 for level 2s n 1 for lower cats and monitor:
(1) number of entrants
(2) cash put behind bar through the tournaments in question
this way he can weigh up the best tournaments to put on, either that or just change this tournament to handicap so us lower boys can fill it up :)

Not just about the cash tho as we've already discussed, Andy needs to have a variety of tournaments on for all cats or the pool scene in the uk can only get worse.

it al gets everybody nowhere anyway, all these tournaments n gb9 ... whats at end of rainbow?? summat needs put in place more than cash to make things worth winning. gb9 for example ive heard is bees nees, awesome setup etc but where does it get people? think summat needs puttin in place so winners of gb9 tour can gain entry into world championship with all fees n travel paid for from gb9 entry fees instead of just cash to winners.

Andy isn't responsible for the pool scene in the UK he is responsible for making money for himself. If pool finished tomorrow but he was still making money why should he care?

Gb9 is a great tour and winning anything on it is a massive achievement, with the standard on it,obviously cash n personal pride n knowing you can compete at the best level is superb, also with the rankings always trying to get better,I know what I've achieved on gb9 n ranked 1 on challenge at min in a short space of time,I'm chuffed wi me sen to say its an hobby n maybe play a couple of games a month at minute, like many others

To be able to compete with some pros at any level when it's an hobby is sumat to be proud of,I know i am

If anyone plays any kind of sport as a hobby whilst running a family n full time job and can compete to a high level should be proud of themselves

Reason it's called a hobby

Here here Eric !!!!

I do think the tour should contribute to the mosconi ranking system tho as if this was the case more big players would make the trip

Not directly no, but without pool in the UK there is no club? Which surely means he owes something back to the scene? Anyway this has already been sorted, all these money grabbing cat 3/4s after a fast buck ;)

Just so you know Gaz, i don't drink which is probably why i stay sober. Brews and sodas for me pal. I'm sure most serious players are there to try and win the tournament and not get drunk ;-)

my advice is just play the game and dont complain around regarding good players, as the are good as the are because the practice and take turnament as a reason to get better and not to getting angry and having fun behind the bar, so if does of you cant win a turnament then ask your self and dont blame good players entering a turnament.
Look forward to play this one many thanks for organizing and put some good effort in it, to make pool as cool as it is!!!
