One day to go to this comp so if you have nothing on tomorrow and want to get some serious tournament experience against top pro players (with a handicap) then get your names down for this. Ricardo runs a brilliant comp and the club is the perfect pool venue.

Don't think that would be a problem mate, I know there is another overseas guy playing the tournament aswell. Richard the organiser will confirm.

I'm sure Richards confirmation is not needed. I've never known him check your passports lol. Anyone can enter - plenty of overseas players have attended Ricardo's events previously.

Given that it's a handicap event I would think you will just need to provide an honest assessment of your level and I'm sure when you speak with Ricardo he'll sort that out for you.

many thanks to the 25 players that attended the tournament yesterday, i tried a new format out for this event and im sure all the players will agree that the day went very smoothly

players were handicapped into groups of 0 +2 +4 and the races were to 10, it was single elimination, first and second round was best of 3 sets, quarter finals best of 2 sets and semis were one set, as usual some players did show late and this was the cause in some matches being delayed a little but has a whole the format worked really well and every player was guaranteed a good deal of table time which is the main thing

also unlucky to riggers who was going for 3 on the bounce

here are the results:

LAST 16
majid bt donlon
he bt rooke
buckmaster bt smith
jones bt ng
hughes bt david
drago bt saxby
symons bt elvin
gray bt calabrese

QUARTER FINALS
majid bt he
buckmaster bt jones
drago bt hughes
gray bt symons

SEMI FINALS
majid bt buckmaster
drago bt gray

FINAL
majid and drago split
