what happened to only one pro per team, or has that been changed cause i can see at least 3-4 teams with 2 ex pro,s or pro,s

I must agree with Chris on this one dog. The teams that submitted their entries straightaway have been slightly handicapped because they've followed the rules and submitted their lineups accordingly and then some teams have been allowed to put more than the 1 pro in their team lineup closer to the actual date of the comp. It still should be a great event but a bit disappointing when you see teams being allowed to enter when they've not followed the rules outlined in the first place.

I think a good way to do it would be to use the MMTV ratings list or a 12-5 rating list. Then set a limit to the total of a teams ratings, a bit like fantasy football. So say you used the 12-5 ratings, and the rating limit for a team was set at 25 for example, you could have a 12 player an 8 player and a 5 player (12+8+5)

first of all phil you would not get in your unreliable, The rules were changed 2 weeks after announced, Your team arfan was given the chance to go back to the original team was it not, same people moaning at every opportunity,The only team that has suffered cause of this is chris team which i take the blame for, Chris is right if i had not changed it this event would not go ahead but now i made the right desicion it will take place, Phil stick to what you do best watch and learn sunshine. darrens team could be stronger but you dont hear him moaning if you want to pull out nows the time.

I didn't get that option and even if I did, I wouldn't have taken it out of respect to jonny who ended up replacing ben finch who was part of my original team. This isn't a pop at you pal, just think that there's 2 or 3 teams with more than 1 pro who should be made to stick by the rules you set out originally and for which I had to change my own team for.

For the future I think Adam's idea is excellent. I was talking to singo today about how the criteria was adjusted (understandably so) but unfortunately it has resulted in some near dream teams and like Arfan says some of the early teams have ended up at a disadvantage as a result. I was thinking the criteria could be only 1 cat 1 player and no more than 2 cat one or 2 players.

Anyway, it is what it is and the saving grace for some of us that are not in a dream team is that this is a team event and anything can happen on the day. I think it will be a great comp.

Andy - I do urge you to think carefully about the rules and publish them in advance so there are no doubts on the day. e.g. When a team member is playing singles is he allowed coaching or a corner man from one of his team mates? In Scotch doubles who plays if the turn is offered back after a push out or illegal break? There may be other scenarios to be thought through too.

Let us know in advance please and also the confirm format and timings if possible. As always if you need any help or advice about the running of the comp just give me a call and I'll be glad to help however I can.

None of us can agree on walk on music so I'll go for 'Get this party started' by Pink.

I was only trying to help Andy you shouldnt change the rules once there published, announcing each team before the match is gonna take a while is it worth it? maybe u could save that for the later stages like GB9 did. As for me being unreliable im just not stupid, why would i travel to Wakefield when after all expenses id be playing at odds of 1/2?? thats not a good gamble. Anyway hope the event goes well im sure it will, if you need any help pm me m8
