With respect Doug, you don't need to know my identity in order to act.
I have highlighted problems that concerns all players.
You said the BPF are breaking laws by making threats to players.
If you're in a position to help the players with regards to the BPF, then do so. The BPF have taken money off players using these threats so what are you going to do about it? I did my job and brought it to your attention.
By the way, have you contacted Barry Behrman about the BPF threats?
I'm sure Pro9ers would be interested to know his thoughts.
Will you be contacting the organizers from the other tournaments listed informing them of the BPF demands?
With regards to compensation for WPA 10 Ball, again you don't need to know anyone's identity to act. There are a number of players affected so make the necessary enquiries and report back here to the players.
If the WPA will compensate or help with the process then let us know here who we need to contact to make a claim.
Again no identity is needed for you to act on the matters above as it affects all players.
No need for private messages too. Lets keep information public so everyone benefits.
Lastly, have you spoken to Ian Anderson? Because I just checked the WPA website and that 5% flawed information thing is still on there.
Have a nice day

IT IS YOUR PEROGATIVE TO REMAIN ANONYMOUS BUT I FEEL THAT ON MATTERS ON WHICH YOU FEELS SO STRONGLY THEN I THINK THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE THE COURAGE OF YOUR CONVICTION AND POST UNDER YOUR OWN IDENTITY. I have highlighted problems that concerns all players. You said the BPF are breaking laws by making threats to players. If you're in a position to help the players with regards to the BPF, then do so. The BPF have taken money off players using these threats so what are you going to do about it? I did my job and brought it to your attention. CAN YOU MAKE IT CLEAR TO WHOM YOU ARE REFERRING. IS IT THE CURRENT ORGANISATION OR THE PREVIOUS REGIME THAT YOU TALK ABOUT. I BELIEVE THAT MANY THOUSANDS OF POUNDS WERE EXTRACTED FROM PLAYERS BY AN ORGANISATION THAT HAD NO BONA FIDE ELECTED OFFICIALS AND NO MANDATE TO DO THIS. THIS BODY WAS SET UP WITH THE COMPLICITY OF THE EUROPEAN FEDERATION By the way, have you contacted Barry Behrman about the BPF threats? I JUST NEED TO ASCERTAIN A FEW MORE FACTS BEFORE I JUMP IN THERE I'm sure Pro9ers would be interested to know his thoughts. BEFORE I GO ANY FURTHER I WOULD POINT OUT THAT I HAVE NO OFFICIAL CONNECTION TO ANY ORGANISATION BUT I HAVE ONLY THE SAME STATUS AS YOU IN THESE MATTERS. BUT HOPEFULLY I STILL HAVE SOME INFLUENCE TO GET THESE THINGS CHANGED.
Will you be contacting the organizers from the other tournaments listed informing them of the BPF demands? NOT MY PLACE. I WOULD ONLY BE INCURRING COSTS WHICH COME OUT OF MY OWN MEAGRE RESOURCES With regards to compensation for WPA 10 Ball, again you don't need to know anyone's identity to act. There are a number of players affected so make the necessary enquiries and report back here to the players. ALTHOUGH I SYMPATHISE WITH YOUR EFFORTS TO REDUCE COSTS BY BOOKING EARLY I ASSUME THAT YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH THE EXPRESSION ‘CAVEAT EMPTOR’. IT MEANS ‘BUYER BEWARE’. SO YOU BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK. SOME OF THE THINGS THAT ARE PRACTICED BY THE WPA ARE GENUINE ATTEMPTS TO KEEP A TOP CLASS EVENT ON THE CALENDAR. SO RULES CAN BE BROKEN JUST TO KEEP THE TOURNAMENT GOING. SO THE WPA WILL NOT OR CANNOT ENTERTAIN ANY SUCH CLAIMS. If the WPA will compensate or help with the process then let us know here who we need to contact to make a claim. Again no identity is needed for you to act on the matters above as it affects all players. No need for private messages too. Lets keep information public so everyone benefits. IS THIS JUST A WAY OF ENSURING THAT YOUR DARKSIDE DOESN'T COME OUT Lastly, have you spoken to Ian Anderson? Because I just checked the WPA website and that 5% flawed information thing is still on there.

Expose him Doug. Absolute scum he is. Messing with people's livelihood.
Once we know who he is, we can stop his attacks on our way of life.
Keep up the good work.

from the WPA sports regulations; 11.15 Player Eligibility Any athlete who is a member of an affiliated organisation of the WPA is eligible to play in any ranking event. He/she will have the opportunity of qualifying either through having a ranking high enough to receive an automatic invite, an allocation spot from his/her membership, or by winning a position in an official qualifying tournament (see 6).

regarding sanction fees or entry fees to wpa events;
11.10 Entry Fee/Sanction Fee Entry fees to tournaments will be payable in full at the Players Meeting. Non-payment of the entry fee will cause cancellation of the entrant from the tournament.
Tournaments without an entry fee will have a sanction fee applied. The amount to be paid will vary between 5% and 10% of the prize fund and will be decided by the WPA Executive Board.

The BPF is doing what nobody else wants to do in the UK and believe it or not they are doing it for the pool players. At this early stage of their existance it is possibly true that there will be only a few players affected by this and therefore benifit by this too but it has to start somewhere. What other sport can you participate at National/International level without being a member of something? Golf, tennis, football, snooker, darts, badminton, none of these will allow you to participate and the list goes on and on so why should pool be different? When you all pull together and support something then that can be a good thing, you might not like some decisions taken by the authorities that be but thats where you get to voice your opinion, by being a member. These people are there for you the members and you have the right to elect new or reinstate the old at your own GA. With so much potential in the UK it amazes me that there are so many negative people who think they know everything when really they haven't got a clue. The only way the UK will ever receive proper funding from i.e. sport England is to have an affiliated member through the structure but with no members or just a few then it will never happen, why not support them and at least give it your best try, who knows they might just get funding that benifits you too.

So do members / non-members have input to such Tenders or do they just fund them?
Watch Dog hasn’t typed BS he has ignited and set out some serious key points of debate and discussion for Pool in the UK. So who will lead those proceedings..? When and where?
Seems that anyone who shows questioning to “The Authorities” are simply ridiculed and shut down for raising issues albeit anonymously. That’s Tinternet for ya baby!
Any questioning on any level is a GOOD thing and only helps. After all the UK is a democratic society.
Rip of Britain, BMW whoever and wherever you are...
I’m WATCH DOG!
Keep asking questions

This has just become boring now. Sure there are some serious issues to be addressed but it has become patently obvious that at least 4 of the posters are the same person. It doesn't take an Einstein to work out who it is, So I am out of here.

Agreed. It's a shame that two forum threads that could have been interesting and constructive have been ruined. I'm removing posting privileges of those concerned and locking this thread. [ This message was edited by: Administrator on 2012-10-03 20:09 ]
