I forgot to mention, another Brunswick table that is everybit as good as the Mtro or GCV, is the Centurion... they run at about 1/2 the RRP and would probably be easier to get sponsorship of, than GCV's, since it'd be more possible to have the tables sold to various potential buyers when the tournament is done
I thought it would be worth mentioning, just to give an extra table option to choose from
Willie I second that, I have a Centurion at home and it's a very nice table in an affordable price. Though the pockets are quite massive so shimming is a must.

The Knightshot table is a branded version of a number of tables made by Chinese manufacturing giant Yalin Billiards.
The tables have been used for the majority of the World 8 Balll Championships in The UAE and there has never been any problems with them.. They will be in action again next month
Yalin currently sponsor top Brits Karl Boyes, Darren Appleton and Chris Melling

Hey Doug, how are you good sir? I have played on a Yalin GCV copy @ Star Billiards in Quezon City, Philippines and they are a mighty fine table to shoot on indeed, but the table was professionally set up and fitted with Brunswick 'Superspeed' cushions, simonis 860 Tournament Blue cloth and Brunswick drop pockets. I don't think it particularly matters which brand of table is used, so long as it is professionally set up and has got the right components, e.g. good and accurate cushion rubbers, championship cloth, Aramith ball sets, (Obviously) in order to get the best performance from whatever tables are supplied. Ya jammy git lol, agreed and this is a basic factor with all standard Brunswick tables, but it's nothing that 1 or 2 extra sets of facings won't fix as you say. Ideally, 4 1/2" - 41/4" pockets is about right for tournament play, anything less than that is just making a pool table into a 9' snooker table and that's just stupid imho.
