thing is when this comp was made say if it was open to level 4 and below only it would have filled in no time then the 2 dropouts in question would have been moaning. unbelievable jeff!!

Problem is with deposits, players still want their name on the list and then disappear off the face of the planet and don't pay!!
Ricardo has the best idea. Names don't go on the list until payment has been made, therefore entries are pretty much guaranteed barring un- forseen circumstances and even if the odd one does drop out then the prize money is still there for those who do turn up.
Getting money up front from players has always been a problem when entering comps.
Handicaps could be the way to go but i'm down as a Cat 4 based on my GB9 standings and level of play from 2008 when i was on tour. I am no where near the player i was back then so my handicap would not be what it should be in my eyes.Once i get back on the practice table i'll enter some comps, no spare time though :-(

The Rhodes machine produced again beating Andy 11-4 in the final, a great match in the semi with Andy edging out Jamie Yates 11-10 after an unfortunate miscue by Jamie at 10-10.
