**** Event Info ****

The Rack'n'Roll will be hosting its 10th Annual 9 Ball open competition on Sunday 1st April starting at 11.00AM. Doors will open at 10.30am with registration ending at 10.45am(so please make sure you are here by then) so that groups and opening games can be announced and so we can start on time.

Limited to 40 entries maximum. Entry fee is £20 per person and this is to be paid in advance by the 25th March by PayPal or cheque or can be paid at club if you’re local, you can contact me for payment options through pm here or my email keithw79@live.co.uk to sort payment.

The format will be 1st round group stages random draw, and it will 8 groups of 5 and a race to 5 alternate break, top 2 of each group to go through to knockout stages.

The winner for example of group 1 will play runner up of group 8 and so on but will be pre-determined draw for which group winner plays which group runner up.

Groups will be decided as follows in this order: wins, racks won, rack difference and if those are all equal then on head to head.

After groups stages it will be last 16 straight knockout onwards race to 7 in last 16, quarter finals, semi-finals and a race to 9 in the final and it will be winner breaks in the straight knockout phase.

At last year’s open Jack Whelan beat Kev Simpson to win the competition. There were 37 runners at last year’s event and a prize fund of over £600. We hope you will turn out again for this year’s event and make it a success again as in previous years.

All entry fees will be paid out in prize money and also the winners name will go on our house trophy. Past winners include Bobby Lee and Matt Potter, Ben Moore and Tommy Donlon. Craig Osborne, Ben Buckley and last year’s winner Jack Whelan.

Prize fund based on 40 entries paid will be:

Winner £290
Runner up £150
Semi Finalist x2 £80
Quarter Finalist x4 £50

The first 32 will have till the of 25th March to be paid up, if not paid by this date then you will be took off the list and the spot will be offered in order to people on the reserves list.
(Cheques will need to be cleared by this date)

Plenty of free street parking. You'll be very unlucky to not find any especially if you get in early around 10.30ish :)

Everyone usually does and have done in previous comps. Always be a few that drop out nearer the time but no different to any other comp but i think we will at least have 32, we still not had a lot of regulars sign up yet, so its all looking good
