I recently received a z2 shaft from the wife as a gift. The joint was 5/16-18 but all my butts are uni-loc. After wondering why my wife bought me a z2 with this joint, and after contemplating divource I decided to buy a new butt and give it a try. I doubt it will become my new playing cue (OB classic pro for the win!) but it can't hurt trying it out.
I just want to know if I can buy butts on their own at all. Failing that can anyone recommend a cheap cue with a 5/16-18 pin that has nice balance and feel about it. All suggestions are appreciated, cheers.

Pidge You're best bet is to find a cheap Meucci if your joint is flat faced. That's the most readily available production cue. On the custom front, you have: Ginacue Corsair Tad Early Jensen. I have a 1970s ivory Meucci Crown Jewels, one of the first ones made for $5000 if you want that.

Meucci best. If you don't want to fork out hundreds then a fact 2nd are great deals. Only minor colour flaws.
