I'm currently using a Poison VX 2.9 Jump/Break cue, to be honest I only use it for breaking as I already have another jump cue that I'm happy with.
It's got the original Sarin Phenolic tip on at the moment but I want to experiment with a leather tip, has anybody got any ideas of which leather tips are best for breaking?

For a hard breaking tip try the samsara

Alternatively you could use a picone tip press (or similar) and press a water buffalo tip making it harder and this is a good option.

Also there is the Rhino jump break leather tip as well as the usual supects such as the tiger jump break.

Never tried a Talisman Water Buffalo tip on a good standard break cue, but had one to try as a player it was ridiculously hard. So maybe you could try one of those?

Tried full cue jumping with it too (which I can do with my old 15oz Break cue) but it never left the table high enough to clear anything so it isn't as hard as a phenolic. But should be more than good enough for breaking and you might even get more control.

Well it looks like I'm going to go with a Samsara, I've heard that these are incredibly hard to install, does anyone know of anyone who'd be able to do an installation of one of these on my break shaft?

Wouldnt personally reccomend removing the tip on the break cue till your 100% sure that what your putting on is better...

Youd be best off getting a spare shaft or something like that to experiment with. I have a BK2 break cue, and a spare Uni-Loc 314 that I tried a few tips on, I have a Black Heart Harmour tip on it at the moment... Not too hard that you cant get the control, but not too soft that you cant get the power...

You can have a bash with it at GB9 or Vegas on the 14th?

I already have a spare shaft pal, that's why I'm wanting to try out the Samsara on that one, then at least if I don't get the right feel I'll have the other shaft to fall back to. And yeah, will be trying them out at both :)

Just struggling a bit here as I missed the last GB9, does anyone know anyone in the North of England who'd be able to install a Samsara for me? PM me and let me know :)
