Hey new to all this and 9-ball as you can probably see, but was just wondering if there was any tournaments around the Worcestershire area as i am looking to play abit of 9-ball, 10-ball or anything really.

Thanks in advance

Where abouts in Worcester do you live? Are you near Birmingham/Solihull at all, as there are a few players that play at either Rileys Birmingham or Solihull. Wednesday night from 7 there is a knockout competition run by Alan Coton at the Solihull Rileys. And there are a number of players who would give you a game weekends or evenings. I think Alan is also trying to arrange a comp at the Solihull Rileys on a Sunday in the near future.
My names Craig by the way and I live South Birmingham and have a few friends in Worcester.

Yep, Craigs correct.. Every Wednesday as stated £10 in, players handicapped on ability and all money paid in prizes normally around 10-12 players, free table for comp and rest of the night if eliminated.. Varied standards please free to contact us if any questions 07775 627108 Al Coton.. Its probably nearest 9ball action im guessing for Worcester

Thanks for the feedback guys very helpful. Think i may attend the Wednesday tournament as it sounds like it's only about 50mins away when i get chance and if i can get someone else to come over with me.
I come from an English 8 ball background so haven't played 9 ball at all as closest table is Rileys in Worcester as i come from a little town called Evesham.

Will probably give that number a call tomorrow if i can make it

Thaks again

Josh

see if we can get a car full one week mate, yer dad and carl may be up for it! i used to enter these a couple of years ago and they are good fun. Craig Hirst used to be pretty ruthless through balls 1-8 before melting into the floor like the baddy from terminator 2.

Hi,

I don't mean to hijack your post JCraze8, but I was also wondering the same thing for the East Midlands area (Derby, Nottingham).

Emesy I am still ruthless through 1-8 and still melt at the 9 ball. Be good to see you again mate.
Majick9ball - You want to talk to Kev Simpson (simmo77 on here). He lives Derby and has done some tournaments in Nottingham. His mate Dave Hopkins plays in Nottingham. Both handy players (but don't tell em I said so....).

Thanks, christ147.

I have played both guys before (although they may not remember).
I have a English 8 ball background like JCraze8, but have family ties in 9ball...

I was hoping you wouldn't read that Kev. I can honestly say it was a moment of weakness that will not happen again.

Intrigued by Al Coton's upcoming tournament (mentioned by Christ147). I popped along to a couple of the Wed night comps and they are great fun and the lads make you feel welcome. Unfortunately for me my recent change in jobs means I can only play pool on my rest days or weekend off so if anybody can give a date Al has in mind I can maybe book it as annual leave.
