WOW... Bad day at the office for some though... Gray, Melling, Peach and last year's winner of this event, Richard Jones, all falling at the final loser's qualifying round.
Sitting pretty in the Last 32 Single Elimination are Appleton, Boyes, Burford, and Scotland's Jason Shaw.
I think Van den Berg might be tough to beat at this one, as he's just had a big win.

Yes I was shocked too as thought this was Darren's!!! Not shocked at some Facebook statuses/comments tho after defeat. The usual "the games too easy" and "the best players don't win" been brought into light.
A shame really that the top players never seem to be graceful in defeat as for instance the lad who won, not the best player to ever win a event and prob never win another even but it's a lifetime achievement and will be proud of it. The last thing he wants to read or get wind of its players he probably looks upto and respects pulling the event to pieces or saying he was lucky etc.
